South African newly weds Ignatius & Chantelle joined us today along with the infamous Brits Mike and Corrina for the last dives of their Koh Tao experience. Our first dive took us to the Sattakut Ship Wreck, then we headed north to Hin Pee Wee Pinnacle. We descended down onto the bow of the ship and proceeded to investigate its formidable weaponry; 2 massive guns which are now home to small crabs, flat worms and a white eyed moray eel. As we ventured south to the conning tower we saw…

Beautiful weather, fantastic visibility and lots of our underwater friends to please the apatite of our underwater explores today. We headed out to Twins for our first dive of the day which is always a crowd pleaser what ever the conditions and again it proved to be a hit with our customers Mike and Carinna. As we descended the colours came bursting out and fish seemed to be in a playful mood which is always fun to watch. Mr white eyed eel was foraging and Mr grouper was being opportunistic…

Diving the South Coast of Ireland

Kinsale and the Cork Harbour area has for many years held a secret, it’s diving. The dive  sites here are mainly dived by a few local clubs and by Oceanaddicts. They hold something for everyone form the beginner to the experienced the wreckie to the fish nerd and all points in between. Washed by the Gulf Stream our waters are full of colour and life, both permanent residents and ocean travelers, including whales, basking shark, mola mola (sunfish) and even leatherback turtles. Rebreathers for recreational diving-some thoughts!

With most inventions, evolution provides added benefits and features to a user, perhaps think about how cars have evolved from simple automated machines, like the Ford T-model (in any colour you want as long as it's black!), that originally served a purpose of transportation, to the personalised vehicles they are today, that not only allow a user to travel from A to B, but to do so with greater safety, comfort,…
